American Legend Aircraft Company Arrives at Sun ‘n Fun 2006 in Convoy of Cubs
SULPHUR SPRINGS, TEXAS, APRIL 3, 2006 – American Legend Aircraft Company announced today its arrival at the 2006 Sun ‘n Fun Annual Fly-in among the esteemed Convoy of Cubs. Legend Cub remained there on display during the show in Booth #MD-010, located on the flight line.
Sun ‘n Fun 2006 marked the 70th anniversary Cub Convoy. A gaggle of Cub aircraft made the eight mile final leg of their journeys to Lakeland Linder Airport, Florida, in unison. Many Piper rag-wing aircraft from E-2 to PA-22, and the all-new Legend Cub, were among the Cub Convoy. The aircraft gathered Plant City Airport for the mass fly-out to Lakeland Linder Airport. The Cubs landed in parade fashion on the grass strip.

The Legend Cub is a two-place, single-engine piston-powered aircraft designed to meet Light-Sport Aircraft certification requirements. It has an empty weight of 870 lbs. The Legend Cub is propelled by a 100-horsepower Continental O–200 engine with electric start. Equipped with optional floats, the aircraft is capable of water takeoffs and landings.
