American Legend FloatCub Receives Best Float Fabric Seaplane Award at Sun ‘n Fun 2006
The annual Sun ‘n Fun Fly-in is a gathering of the best built and best kept aircraft in North America. This year’s event was no exception. American Legend Aircraft Company’s participation at the show was varied and highly visible. American Legend proudly departed the show with Best Float Fabric Seaplane Award for its Legend FloatCub.
In addition to winning the Best Float Fabric Seaplane Award, Sun ‘n Fun 2006 earned acclaim for the Legend Cub in a variety of other ways. Legend brought its signature vintage hangar display and three static aircraft to the grounds of Lakeland Linder Airport. This exhibit was a favorite stopping point for friends, owners, and attendees alike. In addition to its base at Linder, American Legend hangared two Legend Cubs at South Lakeland Airport where the company flew daily demonstration flights. American Legend also participated in the 70th Anniversary Cub Convoy with five Legend Cubs making the ceremonial arrival flight prior to opening day of Sun ‘n Fun. Finally, the award winning Legend FloatCub made a splash at Jack Brown’s Seaplane Base where it performed daily demonstration water takeoffs and landings. The FloatCub also participated in the two-day Splash-In event at nearby Lake Parker.
American Legend would like to thank all of those individuals who worked to make Sun ‘n Fun 2006 a success for the Legend Cub.
