American Legend Aircraft Company Offers 50–75–100 Reasons to Celebrate
SULPHUR SPRINGS, TEXAS, JULY 24, 2006 – American Legend Aircraft Company announced today 50–75–100 reasons to celebrate its Legend Cub. The Legend Cub is a certified light-sport aircraft.
Reason 50 to celebrate: Production begins on the 50th American Legend Cub.
American Legend Aircraft Company was established in the fall of 2004. The company began producing aircraft the following February. Today, the company celebrates the commencement of production of its 50th aircraft. Kurt Sehnert, certification manager at American Legend stated, “We have built, certified and delivered more airplanes than perhaps any other startup company in a short 18-month timeframe. Our 50th aircraft marks an important place in our history.”
Reason 75 to celebrate: Cubs have been in production for 75 years.
Beginning with the Taylor Aircraft E-2 Cub and continuing today with the American Legend Cub, this aircraft type has been in production for more than 75 years. American Legend participated in this anniversary celebration in April 2006, when the Convoy of Cubs ceremonially arrived at Lakeland Linder Airport for the annual Sun ‘n Fun Fly-In.
Reason 100 to celebrate: Continental Motors has been producing engines for 100 years.
