American Legend Aircraft Company Offers Parachute Option for the Legend Cub

- American Legend Aircraft Company announced today the availability of
a BRS whole-airplane parachute system for its Legend Cub. Installation
of the BRS emergency parachute provides owners enhanced safety in the
operation of their Legend Cub.
Following its engineering and testing efforts, American Legend Aircraft
Company completed the certification of the BRS system for installation
in the Legend Cub. The BRS is manufactured by Ballistic Recovery
Systems, Inc. of South St. Paul, Minnesota. The BRS 6 parachute system
is ASTM compliant and is designed for light-sport certified aircraft
including the Legend Cub. Installed on a Legend Cub, the BRS adds 29
pounds, comprises a 40-foot canopy when deployed, and carries a 12-year
service life.
Installation of a BRS parachute provides Legend Cub owners, operators
and passengers with an additional level of safety enhancement. The
Legend Cub is based on the enduring Cub design. The aircraft's appeal
stems from its ability to fly low-and-slow with superb visibility and
notable safety. Although stall speed on the Legend Cub is a low 38 MPH
(35 MPH when equipped with vortex generators), pilot and passenger
comfort is enhanced knowing that an aircraft is parachute-equipped. The

force absorbing comfort foam seats, non-rebounding landing gear
springs, high-strength chromolly frame construction, high-reliability
