American Legend Appoints Mike Hart, Hampton Airfield, As Legend Cub Representative In Northeast U.S.

SULPHUR SPRINGS, TEXAS, JULY 14, 2008 – American Legend Aircraft Company announced today the appointment of Mike Hart of Hampton Airfield (7B3), North Hampton, New Hampshire, as a sales and support representative for the Legend Cub. The appointment is the first of its kind for American Legend. The company manufactures new Legend Cub aircraft and has previously sold exclusively direct to customers. Over 150 aircraft have been built, certified, and delivered.

Mike Hart operates a pilot training and maintenance facility at Hampton Airfield in North Hampton, New Hampshire. The facility also offers rental aircraft, hangar space, and shared ownership programs. Hart and his wife, Cheryl, have owned and operated the facility since 1975. Mike and Cheryl are both licensed pilots and made their first solo in a Cub. The airfield and similar operations have been in existence there since 1946, and was the former location of a Piper aircraft dealer. Historic Hampton Airfield is located along the New England coast, 30+ miles east of Manchester, New Hampshire, and 50+ miles north of Boston, Massachusetts. The field is considered a flying paradise with easy access to the Adirondacks, Cape Cod, Nova Scotia, Montreal and Quebec, Canada, and the state of Maine. The airfield's turf runway is 2100' long x 175' wide. Elevation is a scant 93' above sea level. The airport is open for public use—though keep a visual for low flying Cubs.

Representing the #1 selling American made light-sport certified Legend Cub, Mike Hart took delivery of his first aircraft at Sentimental Journey Fly-in in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, on June 17, 2008. The aircraft will be flown to trade shows and fly-in events in the northeastern U.S. It will also be used for demonstration and training flights. Hampton Airfield is perhaps the longest continuously operated Cub flight training center in existence. Hart will continue this tradition as he starts new sport pilots in the Legend Cub and transitions them to his Cessna 172 for private pilot license.

Darin Hart, American Legend Aircraft Company owner commented, "With local representation, we will be able to serve more customers in the New England states. Mike is an outstanding asset to Legend with his long history of training and operating Cubs. We are pleased that he has decided to join forces with us." Darin Hart added, "We are still seeking ideal representatives for other areas of the U.S. as well as internationally."

Today's Legend Cub represents an evolution in design and fabrication. Numerous enhancements make the Legend Cub a thoroughly modern aircraft. Buyers can choose from a variety of options. The Legend Cub is built using contemporary, standardized, and certified assembly procedures. It weighs less than comparable aircraft, costs less, and has the advantage of doors and windows on both sides, and the ability to solo from the forward seat.

American Legend Aircraft Company manufactures the Legend Cub, Legend FloatCub, Legend Combat, and Legend Cub Special—all FAA-certified aircraft for sport, recreation, and training. The American Legend Cub sports flying characteristics attuned to the joy of flying. With the addition of talented representation such as Mike Hart at Hampton Airfield, Legend Cub owners now have more ways than ever to discover convenience, comfort, and safety in this popular recreational aircraft.
